About

On 28th August we skydived for Live Unlimited to raise money and awareness for a charity which empowers care experienced young people to access opportunities which would otherwise be out of their reach.

As trustees of Live Unlimited, all with care experience, we know first hand how vital the charity's schemes are in combatting the inequalities that care experienced young people face.

Learning to drive, specialist career mentoring, Children in Care connecting through our forest scheme, theatre trips and residential days out, these are just some of the opportunities Live Unlimited provides.

By jumping out of a plane from 10,000 feet on we took a giant leap of hope for all care experienced young people.

Thank you so much for everyone's generosity in helping us reach our £2000 target!  If you would still like to donate we would be hugely grateful.

Holly says:  "I can't put into words how the skydive felt. It was an absolutely amazing experience! I was genuinely terrified beforehand but also SO excited. This has been on my bucket list for many years and I'm so pleased I finally got to do it! I really wanted to do this as I have benefited from one of the programmes that Live Unlimited offers and its my way of saying thank you and paying back but also raising awareness for the incredible work they do."

Jenni says: "The jump was amazing. Going into it I had some fears and hesitations, not least about the small talk I was going to make with the person I was attached to! Taking this massive jump was scary, but it is not scarier than living by yourself when you turn 18 or being placed in emergency foster placement when you don't know who you are going to be living with. It is so important to raise funds for Live Unlimited as we support young people going through those experiences, giving them a voice and the skills needed to push through those adversities. I'm so glad I've done it and it's over!"

 Live Unlimited's schemes include:

Driving Ahead  - a game changing 46 hrs free driving lessons scheme plus practical & theory test fee for care leavers
